About the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is the statutory regulator for a range of health and care professionals in the United Kingdom, including Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists. HCPC exists to protect the public by setting standards for education, training, professional conduct, and continuing competence.
Our Approach to HCPC Registration
Where ABA ConnectEd works with or recommends allied health professionals such as Occupational Therapists or Speech and Language Therapists, those professionals are required to hold current HCPC registration. This ensures they meet nationally recognised standards of proficiency, professional accountability, and fitness to practise. HCPC registration applies to individual clinicians and provides families with reassurance that regulated professionals meet UK regulatory requirements.
Professional Accountability and Public Protection
HCPC registration supports transparency, ethical practice, and public protection. By working with HCPC-registered professionals where applicable, ABA ConnectEd reinforces its commitment to safe, professional, and high-quality multidisciplinary support for children and families.
