Christos Nikopoulos is an esteemed professional holding the designation of Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst® - D (Doctoral Level; BCBA-D). With a wealth of experience exceeding 23 years in ABA, his specialised focus lies in ASD Autism and other developmental disabilities. Dr. Nikopoulos has served as a former member of the Board of Directors of the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB®) and presently acts as the Applied Sciences Representative of the European Association of Behaviour Analysis (EABA). As the Founder and Director of Autism Consultancy Services (ACS) Ltd, Dr. Nikopoulos has played a pivotal role in advancing the field of ABA and contributing significantly to the understanding and treatment of ASD. His commitment to research is evident through co-authoring two books, and his expertise in the area of ASD has been recognised with the award of Chartered Scientist from the Science Council, highlighting his substantial contributions to the field in the United Kingdom.
Matthew has worked in Behavioural Psychology and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) for over 11 years and is accredited as a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst with the BACB and a UK Certified Behaviour Analyst with the UK Society for Behaviour Analysis, regulated by the Professional Standards Authority. He has worked in a range of clinical settings, including private healthcare, NHS inpatient and community services and charitable organisations. Matthew has spent his career working with adults and children with intellectual disabilities, significant challenging behaviour, forensic behaviour, psychological trauma, and a range of mental health conditions. With experience of leading services, direct support work and clinical practice, Matthew strives to apply a person-centred approach to his practice, with a focus on enabling people to maximise their quality of life and have the confidence to manage challenging behaviour safely and effectively. Matthew provides all elements of behaviour analysis, whilst also bringing a range of expertise in assessments, formulation and treatment/intervention from a more psychological background to supplement ongoing work for individuals. Matthew has published research in peer reviewed academic journals and continues to conduct research to improve practice in this field. He is currently completing a PhD at Bristol University developing revised diagnostic autism assessments for individuals who miss diagnosis or are misdiagnosed due to presenting with camouflaging behaviours or ‘atypical’ features of autism.
Jo is a UKBA(cert) and Board Certified Behaviour Analyst; she has worked using the Positive Behaviour Support model for fifteen years. She works in a range of settings for adults and children, including schools, health and social care services and families homes. Jo develops strategies at the individual and service level to improve people’s quality of life and support. She is experienced at providing clinical supervision to enhance others practice within PBS settings. Jo is on the board of the UK Society for Behaviour Analysis and is a co-presenter of the PBS Matters podcast discussing the application of the science within the UK with a variety of guests. She also delivers online and in person training to other UKBA(cert)s and Board Certified Behaviour Analysts to enable them to maintain their certification. She has a particular interest in ethical practice and providing effective clinical supervision.
Jen is a UKBA(cert) and Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst and Chartered Psychologist who has worked with individuals with Autism Spectrum and other Developmental Disorders for 13 years. Her clinical experience extends to include Early Intensive Behavioural Intervention (EIBI), mainstream school inclusion programmes, and the provision of positive behaviour support to increase the quality of life for the individuals she supports and their respective stakeholders. Jen has a keen interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, staff well-being and language development from a behavioural perspective. She also enjoys utilising systems-wide support for educational and social care settings and upskilling clinicians and staff teams through training/mentoring. Jen has worked in a range of settings including home-based environments, schools and social care settings. She values interdisciplinary collaboration, a positive attitude and an evidence and values led approach to support.
Beverley Watkins qualified as a solicitor in London in 1988. She is the founder of Watkins Solicitors and as well as being an acknowledged expert Family Law solicitor, Beverley is also nationally recognised as one of the leading specialists advising on all matters of Education Law. With regards to her family work, Beverley deals with all areas but has particular expertise dealing with complicated financial disputes. Her work with education law centres around her knowledge of Special Educational Needs and children with disabilities. ‘I know it may sound like a cliché but I became a lawyer because I believe in justice. I always try and provide the best possible advice to my clients. I have been involved as a volunteer with local law centres providing pro bono advice since 1979.’ As well as being a partner and solicitor in the firm, Beverley is a member of Resolution and The Law Society’s Advanced Family Panel. In addition, Beverley is also a member of the Education Law Association.
